Join Florida Humanities and the Florida Historic Capitol Museum to celebrate the release of “Once Upon a Time in Florida: Stories of Life in the Land of Promises.” This new book marks Florida Humanities’ 50th anniversary with a collection of 50 timeless stories from FORUM, the award-winning magazine of Florida Humanities. As part of a statewide book tour, Jacki Levine, the anthology’s editor, reunites with scholars and writers whose stories were selected to appear in this richly-illustrated coffee table book. At this first stop in Tallahassee, the conversation will center around Florida’s early history through the Civil War, its relevance today, as well as
