Valerie is a communications professional with nearly 20 years of experience in the public and private sector. She is currently an executive member of the Marketing & Corporate Affairs team for one of the nation’s leading providers of healthcare services, Tennessee-based HCA Healthcare. She serves as the Assistant Vice President of Strategic Communications for HCA Healthcare’s North Florida Division in Tallahassee, Florida. The Division’s 15 hospitals and more than 120 additional sites of care serve more than 50 percent of the counties in Florida and contribute to an economic impact exceeding $2 billion. The North Florida Division is supported by a dedicated team of nearly 17,000 physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals who care for more than 2 million patients each year throughout the Florida Panhandle, Tallahassee, North Central Florida, and Orlando.
Previously, she served as the Communications Director for the Florida Department of Revenue and prior to that was the Vice President of Communications for The James Madison Institute. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Big Bend. Wickboldt received her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University where she majored in Public Relations. She and her husband Steven have three beautiful children, Wesley, Wyatt and Phoebe.
