Women Among Us: Portraits of Strength Exhibit at LeMoyne Arts

LeMoyne Arts is delighted to reprise Women Among Us: Portraits of Strength with a whole new collection! Local, accomplished women, aged 65 or older, are featured in this exhibition of environmental photographic portraits. Each large-format portrait is enriched by a short poem and an engaging biographical story. The collection, a collaboration of Becki Rutta, Mary Jane Ryals, Carol Lynne Knight, Linda Hall, and Eleanor Dietrich, was created to honor these powerful women.

Woman Among Us: Portraits of Strength recognizes a diverse group of women, over age 65, by exhibiting large-format photographic portraits & telling their stories. Their strength, spirit, & joy are revealed in these powerful portraits by Becki Rutta. Accompanying texts of interviews & poems tell more about their passions and lifelong dedication to following their dreams & also touching the lives of so many in our community. Exhibits include elected officials, educators, artists, activists & scientists. This exhibit is sponsored by Katee Tully and Janet Hinkle.

LeMoyne’s annual Art & Soul Celebration Silent Auction will also be on display during this time. Art & Soul Celebration raises funds to support LeMoyne’s diverse programming and art studio classes offered to our community.

Thank you to Marsha Hosack for donating to support the exhibit.
