Pennington Law Firm: Immediate opening for experienced Transactional/Real Estate Paralegal. This position requires exceptional organizational, communication, word-processing, and accounting skills, The person in this position works closely with an assigned attorney.
Responsible for real estate closing transactions including assembling exhibits and schedules, exchanging executed documents, arranging and tracking wires, follow-up, etc. Preparing closing binders, preparing governmental filings, and other related tasks. Preparing title objection responses and transaction documents with little supervision. Providing administrative support to assigned attorneys including copying and faxing. Finalizing client documents, document production and assembly of closing binders, and filing. Drafting of client communications. Setting up, organizing and maintaining client files. Calendaring dates for closing transactions. Proofreading, scanning and editing documents.
A deep understanding of real estate law is essential, particularly in distinguishing key concepts like grantors and grantees, which define property ownership transfers. Grantors, as property sellers, must provide clear and marketable titles, while grantees, as buyers, must verify all terms and conditions before finalizing the deal. This process requires drafting precise client communications, organizing transaction documents, and responding to title objections with minimal supervision.
Additionally, utilizing tools such as eXp Realty’s home value estimator can help clients gauge property values effectively before engaging in legal transactions. The role also involves preparing closing binders, filing governmental forms, and providing comprehensive administrative support to assigned attorneys.
