Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic (TOC) is thrilled to announce a series of significant investments and developments over the past year, reinforcing our commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services to the North Florida and South Georgia communities. With an unwavering dedication to patient care, TOC has achieved remarkable growth and innovation in various areas.
Groundbreaking for Spine and Joint Replacement Surgical Center of Excellence: We are thrilled to announce the groundbreaking for our new 17,000-square-foot Spine and Joint Replacement Surgical Center of Excellence. This facility will serve as a unique destination, creating a relief valve for the busy hospitals challenged with meeting the needs of the complex and injured patients. Most importantly, it will provide patients with a personalized and enhanced healthcare experience including access to a private recovery room with private bathrooms.
New Imaging Center in Tallahassee: TOC’s Tallahassee facility now features a state-of-the-art Imaging Center with the addition of a second MRI machine. This expansion allows us to serve approximately 4,000 patients annually, eliminating the need for many to seek care elsewhere due to capacity constraints.
Investment in Robotic Surgery: TOC has doubled down on Robotic Surgery with investments in the MAKO and ROSA surgical systems at our orthopedic-focused ambulatory surgical center (ASC). This addition complements our prior investment in MAKO, making TOC ASC one of the few facilities in the United States to offer patients a complete range of leading surgical options.
Rapid Expansion in Panama City: In just one year, TOC’s Panama City office has grown exponentially, now boasting a team of five physician specialists. We are also proud to announce the addition of North Florida’s only Orthopedic Urgent Care, providing timely and specialized care to those in need.
Welcoming New Physicians: TOC is excited to introduce the region’s only Fellowship Trained Hip Preservation Specialist and a new Primary Care Sports Medicine physician to our Tallahassee team. This expansion will enhance care for institutions such as FSU, FAMU, Leon County Schools, and many others across North Florida and South Georgia.
Renewed Partnership with Leon County Schools: TOC is proud to renew its partnership with Leon County Schools, setting the gold standard in community sports medicine care. We remain committed to supporting the health and well-being of our local student-athletes.
Investment in OrthoBot: TOC has invested in OrthoBot, a cutting-edge technology that eliminates telephone wait times for the 270,000 patients requiring access to our services. This investment underscores our commitment to providing efficient and patient centered care.
“TOC’s commitment to lowering patient costs and improving access to medical care is unwavering,” says TOC CEO Michael Boblitz. “Our groundbreaking Spine and Joint Replacement Surgical Center of Excellence, state-of-the-art Imaging Center, TOC Panama City, and investments in robotic surgery technologies are just a few examples of our dedication to enhancing healthcare.
