Thomas Howell Ferguson P.A. CPAs, a professional accounting, assurance, tax, and governmental consulting services firm, headquartered in Tallahassee, Florida, announces that Stephen Andrews, CPA and Dennis Gallant, CPA have been admitted as shareholders and will join the existing shareholder group as owners in the company.
Stephen has been providing tax compliance and consulting services for multiple entity types since 2010. As a leader of the firm’s insurance industry team, his responsibilities include coordination of the insurance tax compliance practice. This includes federal and multi-state tax return compliance, premium tax compliance, income tax provisions on the statutory basis of accounting, consolidated income tax provisions on the GAAP basis of accounting, and representing taxpayers during the examination process within the IRS and state departments of revenue. Stephen is a graduate of Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Master of Accounting in taxation.
Although he currently works in the THF Tampa office, he began his career in the THF Tallahassee office. There, he served as a Loaned Executive with the United Way of the Big Bend and was a 2018 Golden A.C.E. Award recipient from the Network of Young Professionals.
Originally from Ohio, Dennis Gallant is a graduate of the University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. There, he has also served as Mayor of the City of Bluffton. Dennis and his family moved to Tallahassee in 2015 where he joined the firm’s tax department. In 2019, he and his family relocated to Bainbridge, GA where Dennis currently serves as the Market Leader in the firm’s Bainbridge office.
During his career, Dennis has provided tax and consulting services to individuals and to a wide range of industries including manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, agriculture, construction, medical practices, and automotive dealerships. He is a licensed CPA in both Florida and Georgia and has been practicing public accounting since 1995. In addition, he is a graduate of Leadership Tallahassee, Class 34 and a past board member of Tree House of Tallahassee.
