Second Harvest of the Big Bend Partners with Red Hills Gas Station for Fueling Up for Kindness

Consumers can support Second Harvest of the Big Bend by visiting any Red Hills Market Shell Gas Station

Tallahassee, FL (March 1, 2025) – Second Harvest of the Big Bend is teaming up with a hometown favorite in Tallahassee, Red Hills Market, to launch the Fueling Up for Kindness campaign throughout the month of March. At any of the 10 Red Hills Market Shell Station locations, customers can help fight hunger by donating at the register—because even small contributions can make a big impact.

At Red Hills Market, community is everything. It is more than just a place to grab coffee or fuel up— it’s a part of your day, your routine, and your neighborhood. The Fueling Up for Kindness Campaign is Red Hill’s way of inviting customers to join them in giving back to the community we all love. Their approach to integrating the community into every aspect of their operations is evident through their emphasis on local support, offering fresh local finds, and maintaining strong personal connections with customers, underscoring their dedication to the community’s well-being.

“As a local business, we believe in supporting the organizations that truly make a difference,” said Charles Rooney, President of Rainey Cawthon Distributors, the parent company of Red Hills Market. “Second Harvest of the Big Bend does incredible work ensuring families have access to food, and we’re honored to support them. We encourage our customers to help us make a real impact by donating throughout the month of March.”

Every dollar donated at Red Hills Market goes directly to Second Harvest of the Big Bend, helping provide food and hope to families struggling with food insecurity right here in our community.

“We are beyond grateful to Red Hills Market for standing with us in the fight against hunger,” said Monique Ellsworth, CEO of Second Harvest of the Big Bend. “Their unwavering commitment to our community is truly inspiring. Through this partnership, we’re able to ensure that more families in the Big Bend have access to healthy and nutritious food. Together, we’re making a real difference.”

We invite all our customers to take part in the Fueling Up for Kindness Campaign by simply adding a donation at checkout by marking their name and amount on the orange second Harvest signage. Whether it’s a dollar or more, every bit helps—and together, we can make a real difference!
