A native of Tallahassee, Florida, Sam Rogers, Jr. graduated from Florida State University in 1982 with a degree in Accounting. He began his insurance career with United States Fidelity & Guarantee as a Surety Bond Underwriter in New Orleans, LA. He returned to Tallahassee to work with Rogers-Atkins Insurance in 1986 and became a partner and shareholder in 1998. Sam served as the CFO until January 2008, when he assumed the role of CEO. In August 2017, RGVI joined HUB International, where Sam continues to serve as Area Executive Vice President. Sam specializes in insurance for CPAs, not-for-profit trade associations, lawyers, quasi-governmental entities, and other office/professional clients.
Sam’s past community service has included serving on the Biletnikoff Award Board of Trustees, United Way of the Big Bend Board, and Seminole Boosters’ Board. He is currently the Past Chair of the Community Foundation of North Florida. Sam has also served the Florida Association of Insurance Agents in multiple roles including as Chairman in 2014.
Sam and his wife, Laura, have 2 sons (both FSU grads); Donnie works for Nationwide Insurance in Denver and Andy is Screen Writing in LA.
