Roll call: See who’s going on the Chamber trip to Greenville, South Carolina

From the Tallahassee Democrat

A fact-finding trip organized by the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce is bringing more than 80 public and private sector Tallahassee officials to Greenville, South Carolina.

The invitation-only, three-day trip, which begins Monday, is a chance to see a progressive city 400 miles away that’s maintained its charm, attracted manufacturing industries and made decades of investments that paid off when its textile economy crumbled.

Greenville is the third city visited by Chamber members in the last four years. In 2015, a delegation visited Boulder, Colorado, followed by a trip to Nashville, Tennessee, in 2017. Earlier Chamber trips took locals to Austin, Texas; Madison, Wisconsin; and Raleigh, North Carolina.

“Cities that are attractive for our leadership trips are those who are constantly innovating, reinventing, and investing in their future,” said Sue Dick, the Chamber’s president and CEO. “Greenville is the latest city that has grabbed our attention and fit these aspirations for our trip planning.”
