Red Hills Academy, Leon County’s newest charter school, is set to open in August 2022, with enrollment now being accepted for K – 3.
Red Hill’s campus will be located in an existing school facility at 3551 Austin Davis Avenue in Tallahassee. The tuition-free academy offers a public educational choice, focusing on a whole-child approach while actively building relationships with students, families, and the local community.
The academy will provide a challenging learning environment, including language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and Spanish as a second language. “Our experienced staff looks forward to providing an educational environment coupled with a family feel where we celebrate our successes and learn from our mistakes.”, said Shannon Paasch, Principal.
Laura Joanos, Red Hills Academy Board Chair, said, “We are excited about giving parents a choice for their children’s education. The academy will be bringing a family-oriented school to the Tallahassee community. We encourage all parents to consider Red Hills Academy for their children.”
When opening in August, Red Hills Academy will operate from 8:40 a.m. and end at 3:10 p.m. Enrollment is currently available at www.redhillsacademy.com.
