Open Call for Board Members: Pace Center for Girls, Leon

OUR MISSION
Pace Center for Girls, Leon provides a gender-responsive, trauma-informed path to success for girls ages 11–17 in Tallahassee, integrating academic, clinical, and social services. Every girl who walks through our door is met with a strengths-based, relationship-centered model built to help her rewrite her story.

WHY WE’RE BUILDING THIS BOARD
Pace Leon is entering a season of growth: A new signature fundraising event, expanding academic and clinical capacity, and an FY27 budget that will require deeper community investment. We are inviting a small group of committed leaders to help carry that vision forward — as supporters of the organization, and as its most visible champions in the community.

WHAT WE’RE ASKING OF BOARD MEMBERS

  • Give. Make a meaningful personal gift each year, at a level that is significant to you.
  • Get. Open doors to new donors, sponsors, and partners in your network.
  • Show up. Attend monthly board meetings, serve on at least one committee, and support our signature event.
  • Advocate. Represent Pace Leon’s mission in the rooms you’re already in — professionally and civically.

TIME COMMITMENT
Monthly 1-hour board meetings, committee work, and yearly board retreat.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Business and community leaders, philanthropists, and connectors who believe in girls’ potential — people with the relationships, credibility, and generosity to help us reach new donors and new opportunities. Prior board or fundraising experience is a plus, not a requirement.
