KCCI 2026 Community Catalyst Team Opens Call for Muralists for Leon County’s Largest Mural

The Knight Creative Communities Institute (KCCI), in partnership with the City of Tallahassee Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), and SOMO Walls invites professional muralists to apply for a large-scale public art initiative designed to establish the South Monroe/South Adams as a bold, recognizable arts destination in Tallahassee.

This is part of a broader placemaking effort KCCI’s 2026 team is leading this year that celebrates Tallahassee’s creativity, talent, and sense of place. This creative placemaking project turns everyday spaces into places people gather, explore, and take pride in. Project proposals are being accepted until Friday, February 27, 2026.
