MidSouth Bank, an independent community bank committed to serving local communities, has announced the appointment of Joshua DeSha as Commercial Loan Officer and Vice President for their Tallahassee office.
Joining Chris Edwards, Market President, DeSha will be based at MidSouth Bank’s Tallahassee location, which opened last year as a Loan Production Office (LPO) with a sole focus on business and commercial loans. DeSha will work with clients to identify financial needs, provide customized solutions tailored to their unique situation, and efficiently navigate their way through the commercial loan process.

Originally from Gainesville, Florida, DeSha is a graduate of Flagler College where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, as well as a graduate from Louisiana State University’s Graduate School of Banking. A seasoned commercial loan officer, DeSha boasts more than 20 years in the financial service industry – with a majority of those years spent in Tallahassee in commercial banking.
Deeply devoted to the Tallahassee community, DeSha has extensive involvement in many nonprofits and organizations throughout the region. DeSha is currently the Finance Chair of Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend, Board Chair of 211 Big Bend, a member of Leadership Tallahassee’s Class 33 and Board of Governors, and a Catalyst for the Knight Creative Community Institute.
