  • Risk Shelters – All shelters are pet-accessible. Please bring a crate or carrier for your pet. The Florida Division of Emergency Management has partnered with Uber to provide Floridians free rides (up to $35 each way) to shelters in counties under a state of emergency for Helene. To get a ride, residents can download the Uber app, tap Account on the bottom right and tap Wallet, and add promo code HELENERELIEF.

Florida Division of Emergency Management

  • Hurricane Helene Updates & Statewide Information – The Florida Division of Emergency Management plans for and responds to both natural and man-made disasters. The Division prepares and implements a statewide Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan, working together to ensure that Florida is prepared to respond to emergencies, recover from them, and mitigate against their impacts.
  • Recovery Resources – The Recovery Bureau works to maximize disaster assistance to eligible public entities, individuals, and families through various State and Federal disaster assistance programs. These programs help rebuild lives and communities impacted by a major disaster and begin the recovery process.
