Gulf Winds Credit Union Welcomes Melissa Plack as Vice President of Commercial Lending

Pensacola, Florida-

With more than two decades of experience in the finance sector, Plack brings a rich reservoir of expertise to Gulf Winds. Her professional journey started as Branch Manager of AmSouth Bank where she was recognized in the Chairman’s club for outstanding performance. After years of success with AmSouth, Plack later pivoted to personal banking and then Commercial Lending, serving as Commercial Portfolio Manager at PenAir Credit Union where she most recently transitioned into a Commercial Lender Role. Highlighting her dedication to professional development, Plack also holds a Certificate in CUBG Business Lending.

As a fifth-generation Pensacola native, Plack possesses a deep-rooted connection to the community and a passion for supporting local businesses. Her dedication to fostering community growth has led her to proudly serve on the Board of Directors for Pensacola’s local high school, Booker T. Washington’s School Band Foundation. In addition, Plack is actively engaged in volunteer work with Washington’s high school students to raise money for the band’s booster club.

In her new role as Vice President of Commercial Lending, Plack will spearhead Gulf Winds’ commercial lending initiatives, focusing on operational excellence and strategic alliances. Her appointment underscores Gulf Winds’ commitment to launching commercial lending and offering businesses the comprehensive financial solutions and steadfast support needed to thrive.
