The Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce today announced it received a $20,000 grant from Truist Foundation to support the work of the Talent2030 initiative and the Talent Pipeline Management program (TPM). TPM is designed to assist the entire workforce eco-system in defining and aligning needs, building career pathways, and finding jobs to produce a more vibrant and resilient economy.
“When employers put their voices together, education listens. There is no societal issue that is not positively affected by an increase in job opportunities that provide a living wage for all citizens, including poverty, crime, racism, economic mobility, and civic engagement. We are honored to have the support of the Truist Foundation and help us bridge the local talent gap,” said Sue Dick, president/CEO of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce.
The Talent Pipeline Management program will help employers identify and recruit from traditional and non-traditional sources to reach populations who otherwise might be left behind and offer job seekers opportunities to move into high- skill/high-wage jobs. These jobs are available locally, and the pipeline provides a clear pathway, with wrap-around support where needed, to help all participants meet their goals.
