Goodwood Museum partnering with Leon County Clerk of Courts for 3rd Annual Valentine’s Day Group Wedding Ceremony

Are you or someone you know ready to tie the knot in 2025? Say “I Do” with the Leon County Clerk of the Court and Goodwood Museum & Gardens on Valentine’s Day.

For the 3rd year, Goodwood and the Clerk’s Office are partnering together to host a group wedding ceremony on the front lawn of the museum’s beautiful 21-acre gardens.

The single group ceremony will be officiated by Clerk Gwen Knight and will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, February 14, 2025.
The ceremony will take place outside on the front lawn of the Main House at the Goodwood Museum & Gardens (1600 Miccosukee Road, Tallahassee, Florida).

“This is the third edition of what will be an annual event,” Clerk Knight said. “I am grateful for the continued partnership with Goodwood Museum & Gardens along with the outpouring generosity of our local professionals to bring this very special event to our community.”

The diverse group ceremony is a highlight of Goodwood and the Clerk’s Office’s Valentine’s Day celebrations. The wedding ceremony will include food, libations, an onsite photographer to capture the memories and moments, and more, all provided by community businesses and partners.

To participate in the Valentine’s Day Wedding, couples must obtain a marriage license and register online by February 3, 2025.
The Clerk has waived the normal $30 wedding ceremony fee. Standard marriage license fees will still apply.
The application for a marriage license is required to be completed online under “Marriage” at www.leonclerk.com. To apply, both applicants must have a valid form of photo ID and appear in person at either of the two Clerk’s office locations – the Leon County Courthouse or the NE Branch on Metropolitan Boulevard – during regular hours of operation, Monday- Friday 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 pm.

After applying you can sign up for the group ceremony at the Leon County Clerk of Court’s ceremony sign up page.

Following the ceremony, couples will receive a special Commemorative Marriage Certificate and access to the wedding photos online.

A wedding, no matter the size or setting, is a chapter that deserves to be written with beauty, emotion, and joy. The Valentine’s Day celebration captures all of this—laughter shared over cake, quiet hand squeezes during vows, and that first dance under the open sky. It’s a day where love stands proudly in public view, witnessed by the community and held together by thoughtful details.

Capturing these moments isn’t just a luxury—it’s a necessity. After all, the day moves fast, but the memories deserve to linger. An experienced eye, such as that of a Charlotte Wedding Photographer, ensures each couple’s unique story is told through images that speak long after the music fades. From the soft glow of the venue to the sparkle in each newlywed’s eyes, this is more than just a ceremony—it’s a memory in the making.

And while professional photography preserves the heart of the day, a photo booth brings a different kind of magic. Guests step inside, let their guard down, and end up with the kind of candid snapshots that capture pure joy. Those little prints often become treasures—taped to mirrors, slipped into books, or kept safe in wallets as reminders of a day filled with love.

Couples looking for ideas often turn to https://idealphotobooths.com, where the focus is on creating spaces that invite laughter and connection. When paired with the elegance of traditional portraits, these playful moments round out the story, showing that a wedding is as much about joy and community as it is about vows and promises.
