TALLAHASSEE, FL – February 19, 2020 – Stearns Weaver Miller announced that Shareholder Gigi Rollini has been selected as a 2020 Honoree for the Tallahassee Community College (TCC)
Women’s History Month celebration. The annual celebration recognizes 15 women (10 community members and 5 current TCC students) for their leadership skills and service to the
public. The ceremony will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at 5:30 p.m. at the Ghazvini Center for Healthcare Education.
The theme for TCC Women’s History Month is Valiant Women of the Vote, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote on the federal level. To that end, TCC based its selection of the Honorees on the nominees’ preservation and continuing efforts of women’s rights.
Rollini was nominated by Tallahassee Women Lawyers (TWL), through which she founded the Tallahassee Professional Women’s Exchange Network in 2009 and served as TWL’s President from 2009-2010. In addition to TWL, Rollini also served as president of Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL) from 2010-2011, where she created the Member Advancement Project to encourage and support more women in public office and on the judicial bench. She currently
serves on the board of the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL), after serving many years as Florida’s delegate to NAWL, where she leads NAWL’s Advocacy & Public Policy Working
Group.
Rollini has been named one of Florida’s “Top 50 Women Lawyers” by Super Lawyers magazine, an “Extraordinary Woman” by FAWL, the Panhandle’s “Woman of Distinction” in Law by the Girl
Scout Council, and one of Tallahassee’s “25 Women to Know” by the Tallahassee Democrat.
