Stearns Weaver Miller announced that Tallahassee Shareholder Gigi Rollini was installed as Treasurer of the National Association of Women Lawyers (“NAWL”) Board of Directors during NAWL’s Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL, on July 21, 2022, and will lead NAWL’s Finance Committee during the 2022-2023 year. NAWL provides leadership, a collective voice, and essential resources to advance women in the legal profession and advocates for the equality of women under the law.
This is Gigi’s third executive officer position with NAWL since being elected to the Executive Committee in 2020, serving as Assistant Secretary in 2020 and as Secretary in 2021. After serving many years as Florida’s delegate to NAWL, Gigi joined the Board of Directors in 2018 as a member-at-large, where she was appointed to lead the organization’s Advocacy & Public Policy Working Group to create NAWL’s national advocacy platform. Since 2012, she has served on NAWL’s prestigious Amicus Committee, which vets, approves, and prepares NAWL’s amicus appellate briefs for filing in the United States Supreme Court and federal appeals courts across the country. She chaired NAWL’s 2018 Midyear Meeting in Florida, and has served on NAWL’s Path to Equity Partnership, Membership, and Sustaining Sponsor Committees.
Prior to her service in NAWL, Gigi served as President of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (“FAWL”) from 2010-2011, where she founded the Member Advancement Project (“MAP”) to encourage and support more women in public office, Bar leadership, and in Florida’s judiciary. To ensure MAP’s success, Gigi chaired the MAP Committee years after its inception, including well after her term as FAWL president had ended. MAP has become one of FAWL’s flagship member programs, and has been instrumental in increasing the number of women serving on the bench, in Florida Bar leadership, and in public office.
As President of the Tallahassee Women Lawyers (“TWL”) from 2009-2010, she founded the Tallahassee Professional Women’s Exchange (“WE”) Network, a cross-professional service organization of 350+ Tallahassee women dedicated to growing their business, service, leadership, and mentoring opportunities together. In that role, Gigi also created a Charitables Committee to connect women lawyers to a host of charities, and encourage TWL members to volunteer, give, and offer pro bono legal services.
Gigi has received numerous awards for her commitment to empowering women. She was honored with NAWL’s Virginia S. Mueller Outstanding Member Award in 2018, an award named for the Sacramento lawyer who worked tirelessly to advance the position of women in the legal profession. She was also recognized as an “Extraordinary Woman” and “Leader in Law” by FAWL, the Panhandle’s “Woman of Distinction” in Law by the Girl Scout Council, a Women’s History Month Honoree by Tallahassee Community College (“TCC”), one of the Tallahassee Woman Magazine’s “Women to Watch,” and one of Tallahassee’s “25 Women to Know” by the Tallahassee Democrat.
Gigi has also been recognized by Florida Super Lawyers as one of Florida’s Top 50 Women Lawyers, is regularly ranked by leading peer review publications such as Best Lawyers in America and Florida Trend’s Florida Legal Elite, and is AV-rated in Martindale-Hubbell. A seasoned litigator and head of the firm’s Government & Administrative practice group, Gigi focuses her practice on administrative litigation, appeals, and all aspects of Florida administrative law, including regulatory compliance, licensure, administrative complaints and disciplinary proceedings, government contracts, procurement and bid protests, rulemaking and rule challenges, state and local taxation, election compliance and litigation, and non-profit and trade association formation, compliance and management.
