Gigi Rollini Elected to National Women Lawyers Executive Committee

TALLAHASSEE, FL – July 20, 2020 – Stearns Weaver Miller announced that Tallahassee Shareholder Gigi Rollini has been elected as an Executive Officer of the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL) Board of Directors, an organization which provides leadership, a collective voice, and essential resources to advance women in the legal profession and advocates for the equality of women under the law. Her new position on the Executive Committee began at NAWL’s Annual Meeting held on July 15-16, 2020.

After serving many years as Florida’s delegate to NAWL, Rollini joined the Board of Directors in 2018 as a member-at-large, where she was appointed to lead the organization’s Advocacy & Public Policy Working Group. Rollini’s Board election followed her receipt of NAWL’s Virginia S. Mueller Outstanding Member Award in 2018. Since 2012, she has served on NAWL’s prestigious Amicus Committee, which vets the organization’s amicus brief participation in the United States Supreme Court and federal district appellate courts, chaired NAWL’s 2018 Midyear Meeting, and served on NAWL’s Path to Equity Partnership, Membership and Sustaining Sponsor Committees.

Prior to her service in NAWL, Rollini served as president of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL) from 2010-2011, where she created the Member Advancement Project to encourage and support more women in public office and on the judicial bench, and as president of the Tallahassee Women Lawyers (TWL) from 2009-2010, through which she founded the Tallahassee Professional Women’s Exchange (“WE”) Network.

Rollini has been named one of Florida’s “Top 50 Women Lawyers” by Super Lawyers magazine, an “Extraordinary Woman” by FAWL, the Panhandle’s “Woman of Distinction” in Law by the Girl Scout Council, and one of Tallahassee’s “25 Women to Know” by the Tallahassee Democrat. Rollini has served on the Board of Club 25 since 2014, and is a two-term past president of America’s Second Harvest of the Big Bend Board of Directors.

“Throughout my career, I have found great joy in empowering women’s business and leadership development within the legal community, from mentoring law students and young lawyers, to helping women at the top of their careers get elected or appointed to public office,” said Rollini. “I am honored and humbled to join the NAWL Executive Committee to help create opportunities and resources for women across the nation to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.”

An experienced litigator, Rollini leads the Stearns Weaver Miller Government & Administrative Practice Group, and focuses her practice on administrative litigation, appeals, and all aspects of Florida administrative law, including regulatory compliance, licensure, administrative complaints and disciplinary proceedings, government contracts, procurement and bid protests, rulemaking and rule challenges, state and local taxation, election compliance and litigation, and non-profit and trade association formation, compliance and management.
