Florida Blue is offering free grief counseling Tuesday to anyone who is struggling emotionally after the Nov. 2 shooting at a local yoga studio.
Specially trained behavioral health counselors will be available 3-7 p.m. on the second floor of Betton Place, 1950 Thomasville Road, the same shopping complex where the shooting occurred.
Also, people may speak to a counselor 24 hours a day by calling toll-free 1-833-848-1762. The on-site and phone counseling is free and available to anyone in the Tallahassee area, whether they are a member of Florida Blue or not.
The counseling services began Monday. Others supporting the effort include New Directions Behavioral Health and the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce. Talcor, the property manager, opened a vacant storefront for the counseling sessions.
