ICONIC ROCK BAND FOREIGNER HEADLINES TMH GOLDEN GALA
41st GALA ALSO INCLUDES TWO SETS BY COMEDIAN FORTUNE FEIMSTER
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Friday, Nov. 22, 2024) – Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) and the TMH Foundation are thrilled to announce the entertainment and fundraising designation for Golden Gala 2025.
Tallahassee’s most anticipated black-tie event, now celebrating its 41st year, will return on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center and feature a private concert by the iconic rock band, FOREIGNER.
A 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and one of the biggest selling bands of all time, FOREIGNER has captivated audiences for more than four decades with chart-toppers like “I Want to Know What Love Is,” “Cold as Ice” and “Juke Box Hero.”
The 2025 Golden Gala promises to be an unforgettable evening and will, for the first time, boast two spectacular performers. Standup comedian, writer and actor Fortune Feimster, who uses her confessional comedy and laughter to bring people together, will perform before FOREIGNER takes the stage.
Guests at VIP tables will also have the rare opportunity to enjoy an additional private show by Feimster, offering an up-close performance by one of comedy’s brightest stars. Golden Gala guests may recognize Fortune from her Netflix special, “Sweet & Salty,” which was nominated for a Critics Choice Award, and her appearances on popular shows like “The Mindy Project,” “Chelsea Lately” and the Arnold Schwarzenegger action series “Fubar.” Tables can be purchased at TMHGOLDENGALA.ORG.
All proceeds from Golden Gala 2025 will help launch TMH’s ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) program and purchase two ECMO machines. ECMO is an advanced level of life support that helps people whose lungs or heart are not working properly. During ECMO treatment, blood is pumped out of the body into a machine that removes carbon dioxide and adds oxygen. The oxygenated blood is then pumped back into the body. This treatment can be used to provide support for the heart and lungs while they heal from infection or trauma, or it can fully bypass heart and lung function if needed.
For many patients who need it, ECMO is their last chance at survival.
“The addition of two ECMO machines will be transformative for TMH, expanding our capacity to provide critical life support to patients facing severe respiratory and cardiac challenges,” said Mark O’Bryant, President and CEO of TMH. “The Gala will empower us to establish a state-of-the-art ECMO program right here in Tallahassee, elevating our ability to save lives and solidifying our hospital as a leader in critical care.”
Golden Gala 2025 promises to be a memorable evening of fun, rock and roll, and laughter, all for an important cause. This year’s Gala theme is “Galactic Gala,” and the Civic Center will be transformed into an out-of-this-world space-like setting by John Gandy Events.
“For more than 40 years, the Golden Gala has meant more than a night of celebration – it is an opportunity for the community to come together to elevate the level of healthcare available to all in our region,” said TMH Foundation President and Chief Advancement Officer Nigel Allen. “With two incredible entertainers performing at Golden Gala, we’re leveling up the experience we offer our guests and aiming to raise a significant amount of funding to support life-saving care at TMH.”
