First Commerce Credit Union is excited to partner with Secure Records Solutions to offer small businesses, members/customers, and residents the opportunity to have sensitive paper records shredded and recycled during a free community shred day on Wednesday, April 18, from Noon to 5 p.m.
“Earth Day is celebrated on Sunday, April 22 this year, so what better way to care for our planet, than to recycle and get organized by cleaning out records and unwanted paper in your office or home,” said Christopher Jones, Consulting Team Leader for Secure Records Solutions. “We are excited to partner with First Commerce Credit Union to offer the community a secure option for disposing of sensitive, confidential documents with our onsite shred truck.”
Material will be collected at First Commerce’s Thomasville Road financial center at 3343 Thomasville Road. Paper-based documents will be accepted for free with a preferred limit of 5 boxes or bags per person. There is no need to remove staples, paper clips or file folders. In addition, secure destruction of hard drives and recycling of electronics will be provided for a fee.
“At First Commerce, the security of our members’ information is our top priority, so partnering with Secure Records Solutions to offer their professional services is a natural fit for us,” said Joy Sanders, Market Executive for First Commerce. “We are proud that our partnership on this Shred Day event offers security, recycling, and convenience to our community.”
