Hosted by the state’s leading business associations, the focus of the 2023 Florida Business Forum is “Making the Business Community’s Case for Tort Reform.” Industry representatives, lawmakers and others will take part in panels that will discuss key reforms in the civil justice system. For years, Florida has been identified as an outlier on civil justice. Often referred to as a “judicial hellhole,” the status of the state’s tort climate is a significant challenge to Florida’s businesses. As we begin to focus on the 2023 Session, it is important to have a serious conversation about what the Legislature can do to move Florida from “hellhole” status to having a climate that supports the employers and economic drivers upon which the state depends.

Why I joined the Chamber
“AMWAT Moving Warehousing & Storage value its relationship and membership with the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce greatly. We find the resources provided by the Chamber are extremely beneficial to us. As a small growing business, we value the many resources the Chamber provides for professional and business growth; government advocacy and ensuring its members are receiving value. We owe much of our growth and success to the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce; but like any membership, it is up to the member to access the many programs offered by the Chamber and get involved.”
