Kidsfest is a family-oriented festival consisting of hands-on children’s activities and live entertainment that attracts a cross-section of the population from Leon and surrounding counties. Food vendors sell food and drinks throughout the day and it’s a great way for families to spend time together. Businesses, not-for-profits, and government agencies provide the hands-on activities for the children and while the young ones play, the adult family members learn about businesses and their products/services available in our community. It’s a great way to share information, coupons, etc. with a significant number of people. There is no fee for businesses to participate (we even provide the table & chairs)…you just need to bring your staff/volunteers and a hands-on activity (if you need help coming up with one, we’ll provide some suggestions!). General admission is $3 per person and most of the activities are free.
Why I joined the Chamber
“The Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce has always been here serving the business community. I think it’s important for business owners and managers in Tallahassee to really look at all of the new services the Chamber is providing that especially new businesses. The Business Advocacy Committee over the last few years has lead the charge on every major public policy issue the community has faced. With the BAC’s efforts, the business community is on the front end of discussions helping to lead direction and provide facts instead of waiting for things to happen. We owe the Chamber a lot of kudos for their proactive focus.”
