Ep. 50 “How Tallahassee Hotels are Preparing to Welcome Visitors Back to the Capital City” Bo Schmitz, Senior GM, Hyatt House Capitol-University also overseeing the Hampton Inn Capitol-University

As part of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce’s ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tallahassee Business Podcast, presented by 223 Agency, features conversations with a variety of guests who can share valuable insight to help our members in this trying time.

This week, we are joined by Bo Schmitz, Senior General Manager of the Hyatt House Capitol-University and the Hampton Inn Capitol-University. Schmitz is a longtime leader in the Tallahassee hotel industry and currently serves as the Chair of the Leon County Tourist Development Council. The hotel properties under his management have become major drivers for the reconnaissance of the Gaines Street and Railroad Avenue corridors. In this episode, Schmitz discusses the impacts of COVID-19 on our local tourism industry, how his team is slowly working back up to full speed, and the many reasons why people should consider visiting Tallahassee once they feel ready to travel again.
