Ep. 48 – “How the Federal Government is Helping Small Business Owners During COVID-19” U.S. Congressman Al Lawson

As part of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce’s ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tallahassee Business Podcast, presented by 223 Agency, features conversations with a variety of guests who can share valuable insight to help our members in this trying time.

On this week’s episode, we are joined by Congressman Al Lawson. Lawson is in his second term as a member of the United States House of Representatives serving Florida’s 5th congressional district. With a district that stretches from Tallahassee to Jacksonville, Lawson serves one of the largest geographical constituencies of Florida’s delegation to Washington. Before being elected to Congress, Lawson served the Tallahassee area in both the Florida Senate and Florida House of Representatives. He has also been a small business owner and operator for over 40 years. Lawson’s background in both business and legislative service is of great value to the communities he represents.

Through a ranging conversation, Congressman Lawson shares his thoughts on the federal COVID-19 response, how Congress is working to help small businesses, and how companies should be looking to take advantage of programs available through the government.
