Comcast Surprises 10 Big Brothers Big Sisters Families This Thanksgiving

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Big Bend (BBBS) partnered with Comcast this year to help bring a hearty Thanksgiving meal to 10 families served by the agency. Comcast provided an extra special surprise with a new chrome book laptop for each family.

“This service project let our teams engage in a little friendly competition for a good cause,” said Stefanie Bowden, Senior Specialist for External Affairs and Community Impact for Comcast in Tallahassee. “Although we are proud to engage with our communities throughout the year at Comcast, the holidays provide special opportunities to give back by working with our long-term partners like Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Big Bend.”

The agency’s mission is to build and support one-to-one relationships to ignite the biggest possible futures for youth. In doing so, BBBS provides successful mentoring relationships to children who need and want them contributing to better schools, brighter futures, and stronger, healthier communities throughout the Big Bend. We have kids on our waiting list in need of a mentor.
