The recent acts of violence in our parks and public spaces, including incidents at Cascades and Jack McLean Park, have deeply impacted our community. These spaces represent community, connection and celebration, and we stand with all those affected.
We are grateful for the swift and courageous response of local law enforcement. Their dedication to protecting our community is unwavering and deeply appreciated.
Violence has no place in Tallahassee. The Chamber, alongside business leaders, we remain actively engaged in ongoing community safety discussions and are committed to being part of the solution. We will continue to work with law enforcement, city and county officials, and community organizations to strengthen safety efforts and promote meaningful, lasting change.
Together, we support:
· Enhanced community policing and security protocols
· Expanded crime prevention initiatives, including increased access to mental health resources
· Stronger partnerships that reinforce existing safety programs
Tallahassee’s strength lies in our unity. We will move forward with a shared commitment to a safer community for all.
