An annual event in its 26th year, the 2011 Small Business Excellence Awards are presented by the Tallahassee Democrat and sponsored by Capital City Bank and CenturyLink. The awards recognize small businesses and organizations in the Tallahassee community for their outstanding achievements and contributions.
“Small businesses are major contributors to the strength of our economy, and this is an opportunity for us to thank them for creating jobs and providing the products and services that our community needs” said Todd Sperry, Chairman of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce.
Entries for the Small Business Excellence Awards were welcomed through an open call for nominations, followed by an extensive application process with finalists chosen in eight categories by an esteemed selection committee.
Finalists will undergo another review process and winners will be announced at the award program held on Tuesday, June 7, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the University Center Club.
