Berneice Cox named Interim CEO of United Way of the Big Bend

Berneice Cox, CEO of the Bacall Group, will serve as the Interim President & CEO of the United Way of the Big Bend (UWBB) until the new President & CEO has been hired by the Board of Directors.

Cox, who is on the UWBB Board, is also a past board Chair and serves on the United Way of Florida Board of Directors. She replaces Katrina Rolle who resigned effective Friday, September 27.

Rolle had been the President & CEO for four and a half years before accepting a position as President & CEO of the Community Foundation of North Florida.

Cox was instrumental in launching UWBB’s strategic planning process that culminated in the organization adopting a new strategic direction laser focused on those living in poverty and the working poor, A.L.I.C.E. (Asset Limited Income Constrained Employed).

“We are very fortunate to have Berneice Cox serve as the Interim President & CEO during this period of transition. Berneice understands the organization and has been a dedicated UWBB volunteer serving the organization in multiple leadership roles,” said Darrick D. McGhee, Sr., UWBB Board Chair.
