Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce Names Erin Cramer Director of Marketing and Communications

Experienced public relations and marketing leader brings more than a decade of strategic communications expertise to support Tallahassee’s business community

The Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce has named Erin Cramer as its new director of marketing and communications, further strengthening the organization’s leadership team as it advances its mission to drive economic vitality and champion the Capital Region’s business community.

In her new role, Cramer will lead the Chamber’s strategic communications, brand positioning and storytelling efforts, overseeing integrated marketing and communications initiatives across paid, earned and owned media channels. She will help elevate the Chamber’s voice, strengthen stakeholder engagement and showcase the people, businesses and initiatives driving Tallahassee’s economic future.

“Erin is an exceptional communications strategist with a deep understanding of our community and a proven ability to tell stories that inspire action,” said Michael Dalby, president and CEO of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce. “The Chamber’s ability to advocate for our members begins with telling their stories well, and Erin brings the strategic communications expertise, marketing leadership and community connections that will help us elevate our members, strengthen our brand and showcase the innovation and opportunity defining the Capital Region.”

Cramer earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and media studies from Florida State University where she graduated magna cum laude. She has also remained actively involved in the Florida Public Relations Association’s Capital Chapter and the Public Relations Society of America throughout her career. As a lifelong resident of Florida’s Capital City, she and her husband, Isaac, are proudly raising their three-year-old son in the town they have always called home.

Cramer brings more than 10 years of experience in public relations, marketing and strategic communications. Before joining the Chamber, she spent five years with VISIT FLORIDA’s public relations team, leading integrated communications and marketing initiatives across the Canadian, German and French markets. She managed agency partnerships, developed strategic communications campaigns, coordinated executive media opportunities, planned international trade and media missions and receptions, and oversaw earned and paid media programs supporting Florida’s tourism industry. Throughout her tenure, she collaborated with an array of tourism partners and built strong relationships with regional and international media, destination marketing organizations and industry stakeholders.

Prior to VISIT FLORIDA, Cramer served as director of events and marketing for FSU CollegeTown, where she led district-wide marketing, events and stakeholder communications for one of Tallahassee’s premier mixed-use entertainment districts. She began her career at The Zimmerman Agency, executing public relations campaigns for nationally-recognized travel and consumer brands, including Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos, Party City and A.C. Moore. During her tenure, she also directed the agency’s public relations internship program, mentoring emerging communications professionals.

“As a Tallahassee native, this opportunity is especially meaningful,” said Cramer. “Most recently in my career, I had the privilege of helping tell Florida’s story on a global stage, and I’m excited to now bring those experiences home. I look forward to helping tell the stories of the businesses, entrepreneurs and leaders driving our community forward while supporting the Chamber’s mission to strengthen the Capital Region.”
