Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra: Elegance and Elation

Between the years 1784 and 1786, Mozart wrote and performed 12 superlative piano concerti. The elegant C major one, K. 467, was written in only three weeks following the creation of its darker counterpart in D minor, K. 466. Soloist Lisa Smirnova, internationally recognized for her Mozart interpretations, will surely “move the audience to tears” (as Mozart is said to have done at the premiere) during the introspective second movement made famous by the 1967 Swedish film Elvira Madigan. Beethoven’s high-spirited, joyous Fourth Symphony will conclude this evening of classical elegance and elation. Sponsored by: Farmers and Merchants Bank & Greenberg Traurig.
