Tri-Eagle Sales and Second Harvest of the Big Bend partner with local take-out restaurants to support hospitality workers

Local Anheuser-Busch wholesaler Tri-Eagle Sales and Second Harvest of the Big Bend have partnered to host a Hospitality Day to support our hospitality workers in need. On Hospitality Day, Tuesday, April 28th, 2020 hospitality workers will receive a hot meal, food kit, and gift cards from local take-out restaurants.

The retail and hospitality industries are faced with difficult disruptions, leaving many of our hospitality industry workers displaced. Tri-Eagle Sales and Second Harvest of the Big Bend want to help feed those who are enduring challenging times. “Hospitality is such a critical part of the way we live in Tallahassee. It is because of our retailer partners’ loyal support that we are able to give back to them in this time of need,” says Brittany Foster, Director of Marketing with Tri-Eagle Sales.

The event will be held at Tallahassee Community College on Tuesday, April 28th, 2020 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tri-Eagle Sales has partnered with several local Tallahassee restaurants to provide over 250 hot meals. In addition, hospitality workers will receive a $25.00 dollar gift card to local Tallahassee restaurants, and a food-kit provided by Second Harvest of the Big Bend.

“Cross-sector partnerships are essential during community crisis and we could not be more excited to partner up with Tri-Eagle for a food distribution. Second Harvest stands in the gap and works to assist those who lack access to food. This is important work and it takes a collective response. We are very excited to serve with Tri-Eagle for this special distribution,” says Monique Ellsworth, CEO of the Second Harvest of the Big Bend.

Hospitality Day will be held in conjunction with Pay it Forward Day. We ask all community members to help support the cause by paying it forward and ordering take-out or delivery from a local restaurant. Visit budlight.com/openfortakeout to see a complete listing of local restaurants that are available for take-out or delivery near you.

We also encourage you to share a picture of your take-out meals on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #payitforward.
