Second Harvest of the Big Bend’s mission is to feed the hungry in the Big Bend through our network of partner agencies and to educate and engage the community in the fight against hunger. Founded in 1982 as the Food Bank of Tallahassee, Second Harvest of the Big Bend began by picking up prepared and perishable food at local restaurants and grocery stores. In 1986, it joined America’s Second Harvest – the Nation’s Food Bank Network, now called Feeding America. Feeding America is a network of more than 200 food banks.
Christie is a Manager in the Assurance Services Department at Thomas Howell Ferguson P.A. CPAs. She received her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in accounting from Florida State University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).
