The last step taken in order to receive a CPA license is taking the Uniform CPA Examination. This is a national examination and consists of four sections. Florida requires accountants to pass all of the sections with a score of 75 percent or higher. Furthermore, to qualify for a license applicants must have at least one year of work experience, and the experience must be under the direct supervision of a licensed public accountant.
