oday, the TC Federal Bank (TCF) Board of Directors announced the promotion of Greg Eiford to Chief Executive Officer and the retirement of Matt Brown as CEO. Brown’s retirement follows a 45-year banking career and will be effective December 31, 2020. Eiford joined the bank in 2008 and was promoted to President in 2019. Nat Higdon will continue to serve on the executive management team as the Tallahassee Market President working with Eiford to grow the bank across the region.
Stephanie B. Tillman, Chairman of the Board, stated, “we feel confident in Greg’s ability to guide the organization going forward. He is committed to delivering results and enhancing the operations of the bank. He is a proven leader and will continue to be a strategic and operational catalyst for the organization as we transition from a mutual to a stock-based financial institution. With this appointment, Greg will join our board to serve as a director.”
Commenting on the retirement of Matt Brown, Tillman said, “We are deeply grateful to Matt for his wisdom, leadership and dedication to TCF. He will leave an indelible impression on the organization for years to come. We are pleased he will continue to remain on the board of directors.”
Eiford stated, “This is an exciting time in the 86-year history of the bank. Matt’s leadership the past two years has been pivotal in a shift of culture and operations for the bank. The management team is looking forward to future successes in the coming years as we seek to continue to enrich the communities where we live and serve.”
