With social distancing due to the coronavirus still being observed, many people remain hesitant to venture out, but still have legal needs — including notarizing documents and contracts. They will now have an opportunity to do so online thanks to Tallahassee attorney Elizabeth Ricci of Rambana and Ricci, P.L.L.C., recently becoming a certified Remote Online Notary Public.
As the result of a new Florida law that became effective January 1, existing notary publics can apply to become certified for remote notary functions. Not only does this new certification keep people safe, but it allows for remote services to be conducted for various other reasons, making it that much more convenient for people to get their documents notarized.
