Stearns Weaver Miller Expands Tallahassee Office Space and Offered Services

Stearns Weaver Miller announced that it has further solidified its presence in Tallahassee with the addition of 11 new members within the past year. To keep pace with the growing group, the firm recently completed the fifth expansion of its office space in the Highpoint Center since 2014. The growing multidisciplinary team and larger floorplan will allow the office to better serve the needs of clients throughout the state of Florida.

“The past twelve months were momentous for our Tallahassee office,” said Managing Director Rick Schatz. “Within one year, the preeminent, top-notch talent in the office doubled. The investment in both our team and our space reflects our commitment to continuously elevate the range and level of services we provide statewide.”

In 2021, the Tallahassee office added Litigation Shareholders Douglas Kilby and Patricia “Trish” Conners, five Land Development, Zoning & Environmental attorneys including Carl Eldred, Amelia Savage, Susan Stephens, Felicia Kitzmiller and Erin Tilton, Government & Administrative Associate Robert Walters and Geographic Information System (GIS) Analyst* Shawn Halphen. In 2022, Real Estate Shareholder Denay Brown and Director of Planning* Tina Ekblad, MPA, AICP also joined the office. Each addition was strategically selected to complement and further bolster the office’s key strengths, including robust Antitrust, Competition and Consumer Protection; Government and Administrative; Land Development, Zoning and Environmental; Litigation and Dispute Resolution and Real Estate practices.

The Firm previously occupied the seventh floor of the Highpoint Center and in early February concluded another expansion to further occupy the entire sixth floor. The new space features an increased capacity to host client meetings and community events as well as advantageous technological improvements. The Tallahassee office is located within walking distance of the Florida State Capitol, strategically positioning the firm at the crossroads of business and government to effectively assist clients across the state.
