New Manufacturing Sector Strategist Joins CareerSource Capital Region

CareerSource Capital Region is proud to welcome Larry Minnich as its new Manufacturing Sector Strategist.

“I’m looking forward to getting to know and assisting the manufacturers in the capital area with the staff training and development they may need to help keep their operations thriving,” said Larry Minnich, Manufacturing Sector Strategist. “My goal is to be a valuable ‘go-to’ resource for company and career seeker needs, while networking closely with the various community organizations that promote and support our manufacturing industry, aligning with solutions offered through other resource partners.  Our manufacturing sector strategies grant helps manufacturers who are in need of training for their staff meet the challenges they face today. Whether it’s training existing staff on new technology or training new staff on existing technology, our grant can be invaluable to manufacturers in the region.”

During a 40-plus year career in manufacturing, Minnich has held a broad range of direct management positions (including business leader roles and P&L responsibilities with several business units), along with program and project management positions at plant and corporate levels.  He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio State University.

Minnich recently relocated to Tallahassee from Wisconsin and is passionate about manufacturing.  He brings a deep and broad appreciation of manufacturing business processes (and challenges) to his new role. He describes his style as detailed and hands-on, and looks forward to working closely with regional manufacturers, educators and community partners in his new role.

“We are thrilled to have Larry join our team!” said Hadassah Israel, Events and Special Projects Manager. “He brings years of experience in the manufacturing sector to our organization and truly understands how our grant and CareerSource Capital Region can help regional manufacturers.  I know he will truly be an asset.”

In addition to staff training, the right equipment and resources are pivotal to the success of any manufacturing operation. For instance, sourcing specialized equipment, like a surface grinder in Ohio, can significantly improve the precision and quality of production processes. Surface grinders are essential tools used to achieve smooth finishes and accurate dimensions on metal parts, making them a crucial investment for manufacturers seeking to improve product quality. By having access to the right machinery, manufacturers can ensure their products meet the highest standards of craftsmanship and durability.

With leaders like Minnich guiding regional manufacturers and connecting them with valuable resources, the future of the manufacturing industry in Tallahassee and beyond looks promising. These efforts, along with strategic partnerships and grants, help local businesses keep pace with the demands of a rapidly changing market.

In today’s competitive landscape, staying ahead means adopting innovative technologies and exploring resources that streamline manufacturing processes. This is where platforms like https://agilemaking.com/ can offer significant value. AgileMaking is dedicated to providing manufacturers and makers with resources to enhance their machining capabilities. By exploring detailed guides and expert insights on CNC machining, manufacturers can expand their knowledge on the latest advancements in precision tools and equipment.

With CNC technology playing a central role in custom part fabrication, manufacturers can achieve greater accuracy and efficiency, ensuring that every product meets the highest standards.

Whether it’s producing custom parts for complex machinery or ensuring smooth finishes on metal components, AgileMaking’s resources empower manufacturers to stay on the cutting edge of technology, boosting productivity and ensuring quality control in every step of the process.
