HCA Florida Capital Hospital Adds Technology in the Fight Against Cancer

HCA Florida Capital Hospital, a part of HCA Florida Healthcare, has added new technology in the fight against cancer for patients.
Currently, HCA Florida Capital Hospital Cancer Center is the only facility in Tallahassee with this state-of-the-art, $3.3 million-dollar radiotherapy system. This system is designed to treat cancer wherever it’s found in the body.

The benefits of this state-of-the-art technology are flexible treatment options that provide a variety of treatment techniques to address a broad range of cancers, with the patient in mind. Further enhancements include dose control with millimeter accuracy, streamlined treatments, and built-in patient safety features that allow clinicians to navigate the complexities of cancer care.

Dr. Timothy Bolek, radiation oncologist says, “Our new radiotherapy system enhances the ability to deliver state-of-the-art radiation treatments to our patients and meet the cancer needs of the community.”
