Leon County Property Appraiser Akin Akinyemi is pleased to announce the promotion of Gina Fletcher to Assistant Property Appraiser. Gina has been employed in the property appraiser field for more than 30 years and began her career while still in high school, working for the Clay County Property Appraiser. She moved to Leon County in 1996, where we were fortunate to have her join our office.
Gina graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate. She holds multiple designations, including Certified Public Manager (CPM) from the Florida Center for Public Management, Certified Florida Evaluator (CFE) from the Florida Department of Revenue, and Assessment Administration Specialist (AAS) from the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO). She currently serves on the Executive Board of the Florida Chapter of IAAO.
Gina most recently served as our Director of Tax Roll Compliance and CAMA. In her new role, she will also be responsible for the administration of the office and serving as the Property Appraiser in his absence.
Gina and her husband David enjoy traveling, hiking, and antique shopping in the Great Smoky Mountains. They are the proud parents of four children – their youngest, twins – are seniors at Lincoln High School. They also are the proud grandparents of five grandchildren.
