From History to Holidays

Tallahassee’s beautiful and historic Goodwood estate is open to the public with FREE admission on November 23rd.
The free admission day at Goodwood features:
Free Tours: The Main House is displayed as it appeared around World War I, including original furniture, ephemera, and garments. A new special exhibit “A Dry Spell:  A Brief History of Prohibition” will also be open for visitors. Tours and exhibits are FREE and open to the public from 10 AM to 3 PM.
Theatrical Performance: Enjoy a theatrical performance connecting history and holidays by Theater with a Mission on Goodwood’s Games Court.
Habitat for Humanity’s Festival of Trees: On Nov. 22nd and 23rd, Big Bend Habitat for Humanity presents beautiful artificial trees and wreaths for purchase as well as family-friendly festivities, including an early visit from Santa in the Goodwood Carriage House on November 23rd from 10 to Noon . Visit the Friday Night Preview Party on November 22nd from 6 – 9 PM or visit on November 23rd Hours are from 10 AM to 5 PM, with bidding closing at 4:30 PM on Saturday. Under One Roof: Come enjoy a curated collection of clay, glass, jewelry, and enamel works by premier Tallahassee artisans including Brian Bachman, Lesley Nolan, Robin Rodgers, and Kathy Wilcox. This art show and sale will be in Jubilee Cottage on Friday November 22nd 4:30 PM to 8 PM, Saturday November 23rd 10 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday November 24th 12 PM to 4 PM.
