Ep. 42 – Protecting Against Fraud and Other Criminal Activity During the COVID-19 Crisis with United States Attorney Larry Keefe

As part of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce’s ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tallahassee Business Podcast, presented by 223 Agency, features conversations with a variety of guests who can share valuable insight to help our members in this trying time.

In this episode, we are joined by United States Attorney Larry Keefe. U.S. Attorney Keefe is the 41st United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida. Keefe was nominated by President Donald Trump and was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on January 2, 2019. Keefe is the Chief Federal Law Enforcement Officer for the 23 counties in northern Florida, from Escambia in the west to Alachua in the east. The district is headquartered in Tallahassee and has offices in Pensacola, Panama City, and Gainesville.

U.S. Attorney Keefe joins us on this episode of the Tallahassee Business Podcast to discuss measures being taken by his office and the U.S. Department of Justice to curb, prevent and punish fraud during the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of those efforts, U.S. Attorney Keefe appointed Assistant U.S. Attorney Justin Keen to the post of Coronavirus Fraud Coordinator for the Northern District of Florida. Along with U.S. Attorney Keefe, we are also joined by Assistant U.S. Attorney Keen to discuss the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to protect both citizens and businesses from harmful criminal activity during this global pandemic.
