CEO Spotlight – Chris Mills, Truist

As SunTrust and BB&T merged into Truist in December of 2019, Chris Mills was appointed as Market President/CEO in the greater Tallahassee area. In this role, Chris will leverage his 20 years of banking experience to lead all aspects of Truist’s mission to deliver a differentiated banking model in Tallahassee by managing the commercial banking division and 10 locations which includes McGriff Insurance Services. Mills also sits on the North Florida Local Advisory Committee for the Truist Foundation, which overlooks the community outreach for North Florida by providing grants in support of nonprofit organizations. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from The University of West Florida, a graduate of multiple Dale Carnegie leadership programs, and a graduate of Leadership Tallahassee Class 34. He is active in the community, he serves as a board member on the Board of Governors for the FSU College of Business and sits on the Junior Achievement Big Bend Board of Directors as a Past Chairman.
