CEO Spotlight – Chad Thurner, SAM, LLC

Chad Thurner is the Office Manager of the Southeast Region for Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM, LLC) in Tallahassee, FL. He was formerly the Operations Manager for Nobles Consulting Group, Inc. which was acquired by SAM, LLC in June 2018.  SAM, LLC, a leader in providing geospatial data solutions, seeks to enhance and often change the way clients and partners experience design and construction support through innovative technology solutions, exceptional leadership and world class employees.

With over 22 years of experience, Mr. Thurner is knowledgeable in utilizing the latest technology and software programs for various Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Professional Surveying and Mapping Projects. Much of his experience has contributed to large-scale mapping projects for various State/Federal agencies, municipalities and private developers throughout Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi. Mr. Thurner’s position supports SAM’s continued operational excellence through market diversification and geographic expansion in an effort to leverage all services for all clients.

Mr. Thurner currently sits alongside his co-worker, Eric Stuart, as Director for District 1 on the Board of Directors for the Florida Surveying and Mapping Society (FSMS). He also serves as President of the NW Florida Chapter for the Florida Surveying and Mapping Society, and is a former board member of the Seven Hill Regional Users Groups (SHRUG).  As a member of these professional organizations, he actively gives presentations in an effort to educate his peers on emerging and advanced technology, and topics concerning Ethics and Professionalism.
