CCYS is thankful to announce the receipt of a $100,000 gift made by an anonymous donor in order to establish an endowment fund for the organization. The fund will allow for long term sustainability as it will provide a steady source of income for programs and services. CCYS is a local non-profit that provides intervention and prevention services for homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth and their families. Programs include emergency shelter, transitional living, street outreach, and crisis counseling. A 24-hour hotline is available for assistance. Visit www.ccys.org for more information about our programs.

Why I joined the Chamber
“In 2009 I had my ah-hah moment in regards to the impact of the Chamber of Commerce on our business. I accepted the award for Technology Company of the Year and a photo of that moment was captured by the Democrat and the Aegis Partnership (member just really doesn’t cover it) with the Chamber was off to the races in a new gear. We had been members for a while, but it was time to really engage for networking and community involvement. The next year I chaired Access Tallahassee (when I used to be young),went through Leadership Tallahassee, continued my run of 12 straight Annual Conferences, Business after Hours, Lunch and Learns, Committee involvement and more specific programs like the Light House of the Big Bend effort last year, very powerful. When people ask if Aegis is a member of the Chamber, I say yes, and let me tell you how it has helped our company.”
