Both team members come from an extensive background in working in social services and the non-profit sector. The Board of Directors and BBBS staff are excited to welcome both Krystal and Lisa to the organization and celebrate 50 years of serving youth in North Florida with its mentoring programs.

BBBS is committed to creating and supporting one-to-one youth mentoring relationships across the Big Bend region, focusing on children ages 6-16 years old in Franklin, Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Taylor & Wakulla counties. In the 2020-2021 fiscal year, BBBS of the Big Bend served 492 youth, with 75% of those under the age of 12 years old and nearly 70 of these youth coming from one-parent homes and 50% having an incarcerated parent. The youth served in BBBS mentoring programs report higher aspirations, greater confidence, better relationships, avoidance of risky behaviors and educational success.
