Every year, the Florida Department of Corrections releases over 14,000 credentialed tradespeople back into the workforce, trained in heavy equipment operations, machining, electrical, welding, and more… I wanted to reach out and follow up to personally invite you to an event we are hosting at Jefferson Correctional Institution Thursday June 18th, Build Your Workforce Employment Partner Showcase at Jefferson CIIf your schedule allows, I’d love for you and anyone on your team to join us! This event is unique: it’s led by the learners and job seekers themselves, giving guests direct access to skilled individuals who are preparing to reenter the workforce in surrounding counties. Attendees will have the opportunity to see how our correctional education and training programs prepare candidates to contribute to their communities and the workforce.
