For more than 35 years, Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic (TOC) has helped patients live healthy lives through exceptional orthopedic service and compassionate care. Based right here in Florida’s capital city, the clinic provides the highest quality orthopedic and sports medicine care in North Florida and South Georgia.
As our region continues to grow and expand, TOC realized they also needed to grow and update their facilities to accommodate and better serve the community. To bring their state-of-the-art dream to life, TOC turned to local businesses – including Hancock Whitney.
Earlier this year, TOC broke ground on a new two-story, 38,000-square-foot clinic, 90 percent of which is being built with the help of local contractors and organizations. Upon completion, the clinic will house several orthopedic subspecialties, including total joints, spine, pain management, trauma and TOC Now, the urgent orthopedic walk-in clinic.
The new facility will also provide the latest in digital x-ray technology, on site physical rehabilitation services and, most important, allow TOC to consolidate several of their clinics. The facility is expected to open in Summer 2020.
TOC employs 27 physicians as well as an additional 300-plus employees, including PA’s, ARNP’s, RN’s, certified athletic trainers, certified orthotics and an extensive support team of medical and technical assistants.
TOC has been working with a large list of partners on this project, from initial planning and design to breaking ground and constructing the facility. At Hancock Whitney, we were fortunate to be just one of the few partners involved, overseeing the contracting and financing phase of the project.
With six locations in the region, TOC sees thousands of patients pass through their doors each year. With the new facility, TOC will be able to support our community’s needs and continue to serve residents through all phases of their lives with the most innovative care and facilities.
